This is along the road to one of our hikes — maybe up to Jones Gap?  Photo taken in May 2007 — I’d like to go back and see how the site has developed since.

The house is typical of traditional wood farm buildings in the region.  I like how the architect picked a style for the two flanking out-buildings that isn’t native, but certainly could be.   Nice job of blending styles.  I don’t think anyone visits upstate SC for the architecture, but between the historic buildings and the fun being had with newer construction, there is more to see than you’d expect.
